Fish at top of the water

My fish are at the top section of the water and there is an air pump in the water and filter working so help please

How are your ammonia levels? If they are gasping for air or just trying to breath at the top, your levels could be getting to the toxic level. What kind of fish? When did you do your last WC?

In the top section swimming around or struggling to breath? As vaquero asked, ammonia levels? Last water change? Is your tank newly set up?

There not gasping for air and the ammonia level are ok and the other test are fine and did a wc today I'm puzzled

Water looks really murky, or is it just the picture? If not I would do another WC, but it could be a Bacteria Bloom as well.

That is the discolour from the bog wood but it the ruby shark he a lot more active then usual he not normally like that
