Fish Chart By Aquarium Level?

Wanting to try and balance my aqaurium stocking by adding fish that live in different levels of the tank.

Are there any charts or sites (similiar to a compatiability chart) that list this information for Freshwater species?

Good question! I've found one here: Fish Types and Information, freshwater fish, fish temperment, fish sizess

Also this one lists fish by level: Preferred Levels of Community Fish

I'd do more research though just to be sure that these charts are correct once you pick the types of fish you want for each level (and for things like compatibility and tank size).

Thanks Librarygirl!!!

As usual, you've supplied some very helpful information.

I agree totally with selecting by more than just depth, this infomation just helps in narrowing down the field.
