I currently have a five gallon fish tank and would like to stock it with
-1 male molly
-2 female mollies
-a pair of platies

I have a backup tank for the fry, which i hope to have:)
The tank is a ten gallon with an undergravel filter. anyways, does my stocking plan work or not? I definently want mollies, but any other tank mates possible?
Thx

I tried putting my old molly in a 2 gallon and she did fine, but on there it says i shouldn't put one in.:( Anything else

check out AqAdvisor - Intelligent Freshwater Tropical Fish Aquarium Stocking Calculator and Aquarium Tank/Filter Advisor as a base of reference... it will give you details on how the fish are related and if your filtration is adequate

As Andrew said this should not be taken too seriously, I would check back on here with any ideas you have before actually doing anything. I also suggest checking out this thread: http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums/f12/aqadvisor-how-legit-129476.html . I don't think a 5 gallon is big enough for the fish you plan on. I would switch them to the 10 gallon and use the 5 as the fry tank.
