Haven't had any luck getting this identified on the cichlid forum so I'll try here



This guy was in a bucket at the Petsmart my girlfriend works at and the person who brought it in said it was a jewel cichlid but it doesn't look like one

If anyone has any idea what it is I would greatly appreciate it

Its definitely not a jeweled cichlid. Its most likely a hybridized mbuna.

Looks almost like a really poorly colored tropheops Chilumba or red cheek

Do you think he would be ok in a 29g tank with a 30c12x18 footprint? Or do I need to find somebody to take him?
