Fish ID please

My wife brought this home and couldn't remember the name of it. It's like a neon but both colors run all the way down the fish and it's like twice the size

They are cardinal tetras. They are very nice, but they can be hard to acclimate to a new tank.

That's a good idea. Get at least 5 more, but they look much cooler when in big schools so if you have room get even more.

Mmm are you sure? This pics I've seen the peppered one look kinda orangish. Like this one..

sure looks like a peppered cory to me, the second photo you posted looks like a frightened one (paler colors).

I think tithe light is kind of funny in that pic. None of my peppers are orange......
