Fish tank problems

I have a 50 gallon freshwater aquarium with 8 guppies in it 2 males and 6 females the water temp is 76 degrees which is what they say its supposed to be any everything else is right on it but when the males mate with the females after a couple of days the females get scared up and they die? What can I do to prevent this I went and baught new female guppies and they will mate with the old ones and then they will die to its like a cycle what can I do to prevent this?

Is there anything else in the tank? What are the water parameters? How long has it been up and running? How did you cycle it? How often do you do water changes? Do they have any other symptoms or just get pregnant and up and die?
