I need some ideas for fish to add to my now empty 45 gallon. There is nothing in there but sand right now so anything is possible. I wanted piranhas (not off the table) but they can be expensive to feed and can get large. I like fish that are different. I would most likely be able to get any suggestion my lfs's are very good. Give me ideas please!!!!!!!!

I have a nice school of mixed barbs( tiger, albino tiger, green tiger, golden and cherry)
They all do fine and look pretty cool.
I have many ideas of want I am planning on next tho.

Really, to keep a ray you need a at the Very minimum 90 gallon tank but 180 more like it. They need lots of space. They are also very very messy fish.

I agree here barbs would fit the job greatly try to get a gold barb they look cool

If not barbs then go with this:

10 pristella tetra
10 neon tetra
10 rummy nose tetras
1 dwarf gourami

I know you wanted different but all of these guys in a tank full of plants looks amazing
