So the white sand in my tank is getting more and more dirty looking from left over food pieces the fish I have don't eat. I have a BGK and a Red Tailed Shark. Any suggestions on a good bottom feeder to keep my sand clean ? My BGK is only 3-4 inches. Would putting cherry shrimp in there b okay or will he eat them ?

I read somewhere to limit the bottom feeders to make sure the BGK gets food...he won't come out to feed until he thinks it's safe (dark). I usually put food right in his hiding spot and he seems to b doing okay.

My BGK didn't have a problem if the cories ate his food. He'd just eat their eyes -.-

That said they do keep my sand tank substrate sparkling -.-
