Ok so i have some driftwood boiling right now and while i wait i was hoping you helpful folks on here would answer a question while i waited.

so i know that i want to have a 29 gal freshwater community tank planted with some low light plants.

My question is this:
When my cycle is complete and im ready to put some plants in, do i keep feeding the tank ammonia until i get some fish in? How do i keep the biofilter fed while the tank is planted but has no fish?

any help is greatly appreciated.

You could feed the tank everyday like you have fish in the tank, this will keep the bacteria fed until the fish arrive.

so what your saying is that i shouldn't feed it pure ammonia while the plants are in?
