Question fishless cycling question

I have a 10 gallon tank I've been fishless cycling it, and today my nitrites and ammonia are both at zero, and my nitrates are at 40. I know I'm supposed to do a large water change now.

I am going to add cherry shrimp to this tank, but it might be a few days before I get them.

Should I add a little ammonia everyday to keep the bacteria alive, like I have been doing with the cycle?

Yes, keeping adding a little bit of ammonia daily until you put fish in.
