Fishneedit T5HO fixture... will it fit my 20g long?

I need to get a light for my 20g long, and was curious which one to get. The tank is 30 inches long... so should I get the 3 foot one or the 30 inch one? The 3 foot one produces more light.

It might be more wattage, but you're also losing 3" on each side. It would look weird, and you'd be wasting electricity. Just go with the 30".

It really wouldn't make sense to get a 36" fixture on a 30" tank. Id get the 30 too
