Florida Gar help!

Hi yall I just got a Gar yesterday! What all can you feed them? Will they eat floating food? Thanks

And as far as what they will eat. Most anything including your fingers when its larger.

Then why would you put one in a fish tank? Unless you've got like a 20 foot tank in which case, that's pretty epic and I want some pictures.

200 gallons is ridiculously small for a 3-foot fish. He's not even going to be able to turn around.
