Flourescent fish aka "Frankenfish" - Aquarium Advice

What do people think of this new craze? Their genetically modified to grow nen green in the dark. I personally think we should stop messing with mother nature, and shove a load of jellyfish genes up that taiwanese guys nether region. See how he'd like it.

Their expected to hit the markets in a few weeks.

They've been out for several weeks in various forms, already banned in [acronym:6bfa81d2ea="Calcium"]CA[/acronym:6bfa81d2ea]. Do a little bit of lurking or run a search on the forum, there's about 5 other topics that go on for pages on this

Naw, I'll leave it, if only because thats a pretty good pic of them. I am gonna do a little editing on the language tho [acronym:e4cac4290b="Laughing out loud"]LOL[/acronym:e4cac4290b]

Oh, and just a [acronym:e4cac4290b="For your info"]FYI[/acronym:e4cac4290b] Moe; the original purpose of adding the flourescent genes to the zebrafish was for medical study, and not for retail (more info here if you're interested: http://www.zygogen.com/zebrafish.asp ). That I personally don't have a prob with; my mom died of diabetes, and if the studies can help prevent someone else dying of diabetic complications I'm all for it. That being said, I am not thrilled with the commercial aspect of these guys.

Float those guys in a pumpkin aquarium on the front porch. One in each of the eyes, nose and 3 in the mouth.

I wavered on this for a while, but after seeing glowing kittens and rats I think it's disgusting. I want a natural looking tank anyhow.
