What happens to their output as they degrade? I'm struggling to find information.

Supposedly they dim and their spectrum shifts down the line.

Ive never seen concrete information on it, just going by what the reefers say.

Yeah that's what I've heard. I also heard the spectrum shift promotes algae growth but I was wondering if that's just something manufacturers say to encourage early replacement. Anyway I've replaced my two T8 tubes and added reflectors so I'll wait to see how the plants respond.
