Hi guys,

I bought a fluval chi fishtank overseas just to find after a
Few flicks of the led on/off switch it's stopped working. I was
Told to purchase a new filter cube for £30 which is rediculous,
So I decided to have a look on the inside so I can fix it myself.
Now the problem - the lever doesnt seem to be connected to anything
and it's almost as if the light switch detects the position of the level through
Magnet or trip switch. Has anyone come across this issue, or even the
Schematics and Hagen won't provide them for me as they are not the
manufacturers, nor will they give me the appropriate contacts.

Thanks for your time,

Ash x

I also have a couple of Chi's one with lights that won't work. I switched the levers over one with the other and nothing changed. I also placed a metal item on the removed lever and yes it is a mild magnet. So my conclusion so far is that the sensor on one tank has gone bad however I now can not figure out how the sensor removes if at all.
Oh and I tried a stronger magnet that didn't work either.
Sorry not much help but maybe a little inspiration.
