The Fluval chi tAnk has its own led lighting system. Anyone know the wattage and is it any good for growing live plants?

It has 13 single watt LEDs. I had this set up, and could not grow anything at all other than java moss and marimo moss balls.

Thanks. That sucks. I think it would look beautiful as a planted shrimp tank

If you wanted a planted tank you could always add more lighting, there are plenty of suppliers with various lamp like lights for sale. My advice is go and chat with a decent store. I recently added another fluorescent strip to my tank, bit of DIY and it's a million times better!
