Mystery snails eat anacharis like salad. I bought it once and in the morning just the stems were left.

Thanks for the heads up!! I'm actually happy about that info.. I bought 3 bunches and it's way too much for the tank IMO

Will do! Are mystery snails escape artists or are they pretty content in the tank? I do have the lid but there's still a little space of he gets creative.

I have had one wander to lay eggs. But other than that they usually stay put unless something is wrong in the tank.

You'd be more than fine with a nice betta, some zebra nerites, and 2 otos or so

No ottos in less than a 20 need to be in shoals.

UPDATE! Here is how the tank sits today. I currently have the betta, two white could mountain minnows, two black racer nerites, and 5 ghost shrimp. I lost my mystery snail (I read they only live about a year, so I'm thinking old age) and I lost one of my original white clouds. The betta was sleeping behind the rock when I took these pics, so I'll update with a pic of him later.
