Foam In The Filter

How should I be cleaning the foam filter of my AC300. I always do it in a bucket of aquarium water but it never comes that clean. Being on a well, can I rinse it under a cold water tap?? I have as the other media, Green X and Bio Max. TIA

You probably have enough bio filtration to rinse the sponges under tap water. It's always a good idea to run 2 filters on your tanks and alternate the cleaning schedule

I agree with BrainNY. Although I advise people to clean their filters in old tank water, I usually use the tap
