foam on water surface?

I added new gravel to my tank yesterday,and today their is a foamy/bubble substance on the surface of the tank.I needed to do a partial water change anyway and figured it would get rid of it,but it is still there.I rinsed the gravel before i put it in so i was wondering if this has happened to anyone before and what to do?

Are the bubbles kind of oily/tinted same color as gravel?

no they are clear,look like regular bubbles.fish are acting fine also

I have no idea then. Maybe someone else knows.

I'm not sure why it would be foamy but it could be the air bubbles escaping from the gravel you added. I have also seen foam at the surface when I was a beginner and I dosed too much dechlorinator.
