Hey

Iv got a shrimp tank and want to put in a nit of wood to look like a tree and put java moss on the end, what I'm not sure about is could I just use a branch off a tree from the wood at the bottom of my garden ?

Do you know the type of wood? If it's soft wood,such as pine, do not use it!! be sure whatever type of wood it is, that it is dead and very dry.
