Found lots of used fish stuff in EDMONTON
I just bought a 60 [acronym:1ffa793162="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:1ffa793162] plus assorted stuff for a good price. The lady is selling it for her uncle who had a stroke and had to break down over 20 tanks. The fish & all the big tanks are gone (I got the largest one left), but she still has about a dozen tanks from 10 to 55 gals, plus dozens of filters & accessories, all for a good price. The remaining tanks are going in a garage sale starting Wed. So if you are in the market for some good used stuff, check this out - call Verma at 452-0240 or 487-1546.
Note that I am not connected to this sale in any way. The lady was so nice & gave me a whole bunch of stuff that I felt I should spread the word. As a side question - she threw in a HOT Magnum for free. I understand that this will do 250 [acronym:1ffa793162="Gallons per hour"]gph[/acronym:1ffa793162] - a bit low for 60 [acronym:1ffa793162="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:1ffa793162]? right. Also, any experience with the HOT magnum - good or bad? Should I be using that, or get a canister (I had planned to do a wet/dry - sump setup & use a canister to return the water to the tank). |

That is a ton of fish stuff and it sounds reasonable. You are doing a good thing for us and the lady by telling us. Man, i live in North Carolina. That is a lot of shipping charges...

Thanks, jsoong! I'll definitely have to check that out...I know there are a few Edmontonians on this board, so I'd better get to it!
Now to figure out where I can possibly squeeze another tank... |

Eg. of prices - 55 [acronym:d07bb73218="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:d07bb73218] setup $75 - tank, hood, light, stand, aquaclear filter, goodies (take your pick of anything from a big pile).
30 [acronym:d07bb73218="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:d07bb73218] tank - $20 - 40 depending on what is included. Lots of diff filters in $10-20 range. Some stuff's old, some are in good shape & quite useable. Too bad I did not have the space, but a complete 250 [acronym:d07bb73218="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:d07bb73218] setup with ext pump, etc. in really good shape could have been mine for $200 (someone had a hold on that today tho.) I picked up the stuff at 13128 - 123A St. But don't know if that is the add for the garage sale - phone the lady just in case. Actually, I suggest you phone her & get the best stuff before the crowd.

Did you see any 20- or 30- [acronym:f0d2fa3d4e="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:f0d2fa3d4e]. tanks when you were there, Endgame319? Can you give me an idea of what was still left? I'm heading over with my boyfriend tomorrow morning...hoping to find a fairly new 20- or 30 [acronym:f0d2fa3d4e="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:f0d2fa3d4e]. tank, a filter, maybe a stand.
My main concern is if the stuff left is in good condition...any info is appreciated! I don't want to make the hour-long bus ride over if there's nothing I'll buy |

No, I just talked to the lady, the garage sale isnt open yet to my knowledge. A 30-50 gallon tank /w stand for 70. You'll have to ask jsoong about the condition.
