fresh water turtles?

Today I saw a water turtle, I do not know if it was salt or fresh water, but he was swimming and it looked awsome. is it possible to keep fresh water turtle with community fish? anyone know anything about what turtle is there for this type etc

I wouldn't recommend it, turtles are pretty fast and could make short work of tropical fish. Not to mention the enormous amount of waste they produce.

Agreed. Also not to mention that you likely saw a Slider, which will grow a minimum of 10 inches in diameter. They need basking areas, different foods, etc. Just won't work in a community setting. Btw, where did you see this turtle?
