Some of those shrimp look like they were stolen from a horror movie.

FW shrimp live for spans ranging from 18 months or less (ghost shrimp - Palaemonetes spp.) to several years (mostly certain Macrobrachium and Atya). Further research needs to be conducted as regards captive lifespan.
