Freshwater VS tropical

hi again.

being the beginner I am Im just wondering if any1 can clarify this for me.

ive heard that the difference between brackish and freshwater is that brackish has some salt innit but not to the extend as a SW.

so now Im wondering if any1 can explain the diff betweeen tropical and FW is.
cuz In a book I bought there are 2 different categories SW and tropical/fw.
