Hi,

I'm taking down a saltwater tank (75g) and converting it to freshwater. Can anyone give me a few pointers on how I should clean it? It is currently over run with aiptasia.

I would also appreciate any help with stocking. I want a low maintenance community tank. Plants will be plastic. No special lighting. I'd like a shoal of fish 20-30, some cory cats, a plecto for cleaning duties and some bigger 'center-piece' fish. Filtration will be a Penn Plax Cascade 1000 canister filter.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

John Kelly and his pal Max the dog.

welcome to aa

10 neon tetras would really hit the spot for your schoolng fish.

dont count on plecos to eat algae, however they are good at cleaning up leftovers (not to say you shouldnt not feed them in meals)

try some silver dollars, cichlids, or a black ghost knife as a centerpeice fish
