Not sure if this is common of Brown African Knife Fish or not, but I thought this was funny.
My wife fed the fish tonight and put an alegea wafer in the tank for our Pleco. We have a total of three caves in our tank (the Knife Fish and the Pleco drift between these three caves). At one point, I glanced over at the tank to see the Knife Fish pick the entire algae wafer up in his mouth (like a dog with a frisbee) and take it from the cave on the far right of the tank to the cave on the far left. He sat the wafer in the cave and swam back to the cave on the right again.
I just thought it was hilarious. I had never seen a fish carry something that large in its mouth like a frisbee. It was pretty entertaining.
