FW clams or snails

the clams that wegmans sells live for those of us in NY and or new England, are they able to survive in an aquarium? I'm trying to decide fw clams or nerlite snails. I don't like the mystery snails they get too big for me personally

the clams you find in a grocery store would be saltwater,there are freshwater clams that are available in the hobby but neither are really suited for aquarium life anyway as they are filter feeders and most aquariums don't have an adequate amount of free floating material to sustain them for long periods of time so they eventually starve to death in the long run, hope this helps in your decision making process
