My Oscar has a white mark on her head that I suspect may be early HIHD - or it may be my OCD. I bought API General Cure - as it claims to treat HIHD. Ph is 6.5, no Ammonia, no nitrite and less than 5 ppm nitrate. If anything, my tank is under stocked (92 gal with 1 juvenile jack Dempsey and 1 Oscar pushing 5 in. Is there any harm in treating - or is a wait and see approach more prudent? In conjunction with the drugs I was going to add aquarium salt and up the temp. Anyone have any experience with General Cure?
