getting a stand
im thinking of getting a stand for my 10 [acronym:32a3fb45cb="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:32a3fb45cb] instead of having it on this massive meat cart kinda thing (yes its very stable and i reinforced it). I was wondering how i would go about moving the tank to the stand? [acronym:32a3fb45cb="Thanks in Advance"]TIA[/acronym:32a3fb45cb]

Empty at least 90% of the water out of it first....tanks are not designed to be moved with water in them.

Toirtis gave you the right info. Use a level, both ways , on the new stand before moving the tanl.

You can probably leave them in if the move is short. Have you bought a stand yet? I found a wrought iron stand that holds 2 ten gals, top and bottom, for $24.00. Real sturdy.

I have 4 10 gallon tanks on 2 of the KD Double Wood stands from All-Glass Aquariums. I like the wood stands because they look nice and I can mount a power strip (I like the Power Center from ESU with the built-in timer) on the side using wood screws.
