Somehow one of my filter media packets tore and caused all the little carbon stones to fall into my sand. How in the world could I get all of those out? Ive tried picking them out but thats going to take forever. I tried burying them in the sand but they keep making their way up to the top. It looks awful. My goldfish havent been ingesting them but im afraid they will. I tried a sifter but the sand wouldnt go through the holes. Has anyone else had this problem?

Can't think of much. Maybe a gravel vac and you might be able to control the flow so it sucks up the carbon but not the sand. Then catch in a net.

Net the sand into a mesh kitchen strainer. It should be large enough to allow the sand to fall out while keeping the carbon in.

Great ideas! Ill give those a try! Thanks!
