Hey folks,

A couple of my six ghost shrimp in my 40 gallon tank have turned off-white with greenish legs. Their bodies in particular look very odd and are no longer see-through. The other four are normally "ghostly." I was gone for 10 days and came back and found this... Are these blonde guys getting ready to "shed"? Or is something else amiss?

Thanks!

They may be ready to molt. "Ghost" shrimp coloration can vary widely though since their are quite a few shrimp sold as "Ghost" shrimp. I've seen hues of blue, yellow, green, and one that had a purple tinge.
