Give me some ideas for mates for a betta?

Recently did some rearranging and now PorkCop (male crowntail) is in my 25 slightly planted tank all by his lonesome. Don't really want neon or glolight tetras nor glofish. Give me some other ideas.

Tetras with a male betta are generally not a great idea anyway-- the tetras will nip fins.

Cories, otos, other bottom-swimmers maybe?
