goldfish temp

so i was just wondering if having a goldfish in a constant 80* temp would be fine, i know they prefer cooler temps ( around 75* right? ) but would 80* temp be fine for Ranchu or Ryukin goldfish... this is just a thought =P
 
80* is high, even 75* is high ... at 80* u will be seeing a lot of mating if u got pairs.
 
Most likely it would be fine. Since they are fancies they will be more sensitive to anything, but many are raised on tropical farms. As stated aeration is important with goldfish (and IMO any FW tank) and as the temp goes up the water can hold less and less oxygen so it becomes even more important.

What size tank is it?
