I have a 65 gallon tank. I bought an expensive reef, it has one large hole at the bottom. Recently purchased a dinosaur bichir I fear in the cleaning process he may have swam up the reef. I ran water through it while I frantically cleaned the tank trying to get this reef back in. If he is in there will he be able to borough through the rock to get out??

I am assuming by "Reef" you are talking about a premade decorative insert for your tank. If that's the case, then I would suggest 1 of 2 different courses of action.

1 - Leave the insert laying on its side until the fish comes out and then seal the hole.

2 - Use some cut out pieces of egg crate or something similar that comes in cuttable flat sheets and prop the piece of decor off the bottom of the tank. That will allow the fish free roaming of the tank and a secure cave he can feel safe in.
