OK, so as many of you know, I am getting a trio of blue novels sometime in the next month *yay!*. Anywho, I have an empty 10g which has been so for maybe 3-4 months, and I'm assuming all the BB has died off... However I do have an extra double sponge filter in the main. The 10g has some rocks, gravel (blue), some moss, and a HUGE lace java fern. I am wondering- is the QT necessary? I am buying from I guess reputable? (100% positive on eBay) seller, but I have have never bought from them before. I would hate to have my entire tank get an infection of some sort bacterial or parasite...

1) QT necessary?

2) How long?

3) will the angels be OK in the QT tank?

Thanks!!

I would definitely qt at least 2 weeks just to be safe.
They should be ok unless they are large.

Definitely qt, if the tank was cycled before just add some ammonia and it'll bounce right back into the cycle, not all the BB is dead, but maybe not enough is alive to support fish, so a mini cycle is in order.
