Hey,

I have a Honey Gourami. I never had problems with him at all. He has never been aggressive towards other fish at all. I just got a pearl Gourami yesterday, she is a lot larger than him. He has been chasing her around and tries to nip her. I made sure to get a female because I have heard it isn't good to have two males inside the tank together. Well he is being a nasty boy! Is there anything I can do to make him less aggressive towards her? I did change around the tank yesterday, and that didn't seem to help.

The problem is she is not a female Honey. She is another gourami in his territory. Try more plants to break up the line of site. You may have to find her a different home.

I agree, floating plants are preferred but anything taller to split up the tank a bit MAY help. rich311k nailed it, they are just so territorial its not even funny.
