Gr!! Snail problems!!!

I am going to try adding a picture to prove my point. Even my fan shrimps get in on the act..!

Couldn't be simpler. Once a week I cut three inches from a fresh cucumber, trim off the skin, cut into thin ¼ inch slices, and just dump it into all my tanks [I do have an awful lot of tanks..!]

All my fish eat it, all my shrimps eat it, and it is a total snail magnet..!

Well I tried it and it never worked for some reason, I guess I could try again but I think all my snails are pretty much gone (manually picked them out.)

Is it the type of snail I have maybe? I have gilled snails.
