Green spotted puffer fish

So I just got a green spotted puffer fish as you can tell. Bu my problem with it is that it turned black once I put it in my aquarium any reason for this.

Just stress from the move most likely. How did you acclimate him? How long was he in the bag?

I had a spotted puffer. My fish turned black when they first put it in the bag. After some time he turned normal again. I am wondering if the aquarium store you bought the spotted puffer had it in brackish water. I have read that most puffer fish do better in brackish water rather than straight fresh water. You may want to ask because if he was in brackish water and then went to fresh, the little guy may be super stressed. Whenever I bought my puffers I always asked the type of water they were currently in. Just an idea! Good luck!
