Growth on stick ?

Anyone able to identify what exactly this dark patch is growing on my driftwood?

It is an algae. The fish will eat it and it will go away soon. My snails keep my driftwood clean.

No nothing to worry about. All driftwood gets some at first. It usually clear up or the tank inhabitants eat it.
