my tank is newly cycled, and i was just wondering if the guppies would survive (3 males) i haven't bought them yet, hoping for some opinions beforehand, because my lfs is pets at home, and they just want my £ they'll tell me anything! :D
so would the guppies be okay? my tank is in between 25/30 gallons, and the tanks been running for over a month, and only been cycled for about a week?
would these guppies survive?
(they wouldn't be fancy guppies).
thanks innadvance!

I've only kept fish for about 3 months now, but I've had guppies that whole time. So, perhaps take my advice with a grain of salt.

That said, I think guppies are rather hardy fish. As long as you don't add too many (more than 4-5) they should be fine. If you want more guppies than that, allow time between for the bacteria to catch up with the new bioload.

I would get at least 4-6 of them. They prefer to be in schools (so I've learned). when I first bought guppies I got only two and one killed the other. If u don't have a school they have a tendency to pick on one another.
