We bought some guppies about 5 weeks ago. About 10 days later we noticed she was pregnant. Fast forward to three days ago, she is massive and her gravid spot was extremely dark. The current tank is too small to put the breeding tank in, and we didn’t want her fry to be eaten by the other fish.

We decided to move her to a tank where she could have her babies with another pregnant guppy. When we moved her she was visibly stressed and she looked like she was about to go into labour. After a couple hours she was normal and a bit more active.

The next day she slowed down and we assumed she was about to give birth so we moved her into the breeding box. She was in there for 24 hours and still hadn’t had her babies. The other guppy had her babies in that tank so we couldn’t let her back into there otherwise she would’ve eaten them.

So we moved her into a new 20g tank by herself to have her babies. She looks a bit smaller but her gravid spot is still extremely dark. When we put her in, she was very active but for the past few hours she’s been pretty still at the top of the tank. Is she going to have babies or are they gone? Any answers are much appreciated [emoji4]
