How can you tell what sex the fry are i had 59 fry at about 3 months old and i know about the gonopodium but some had no colour and some had allot of colour how old is it before they reach maturity, I know theres nothing hard about it but i breed them for my local pet shop.

This site http://guppyplace.tripod.com/Breeding.html says that fry can be sexed at one week of age (surprises me!) and that the males' anal fin becomes pointed at 3-6 weeks old. I also found somewhere on that site that guppies are mature at about 6 months, but I thought it was 4....
Hmm.... where is Guppyman when we need him?

My fry are 3 weeks old.. I can really tell the male /female...The girls are so much bigger and they will have the gavid spot..Still not alot of color yet on mine specks here and there maybe...
This site has been great I just started with my lovely guppies...
