Guppys+siamese fight in same tank

i know people say that fighters should not be put in the same tank as guppys but i have 2 guppys and 1 fight in the same tank and have had no prob's at all.the guppys was in the tank first and i put the fight in about 4weeks later....i am new to this game so please be nice if you are going to tell me off does any one eles out there don what i have as it woud be nice to here how they got on.

IF it works it works, Lots of typically aggressive fish can be peacefull and then again it may just be laying in wait. Watch carefully and try to see what happens when the lights go out.

The usual caution about guppies and bettas could have 2 origins: 1) that the guppies' tails give the bettas fin-envy and incite them to attack and 2) that feeder guppies are typically ripped to shreds by bettas.

I've only seen examples of the latter, and this with tiny guppy babies. I can't speak to the former, as I've never kept fancy guppies.

You some times get fin nipping with fancy guppys and fighters, but if it's working out alright then leave it alone. But always be prepared to move one or the other just in case.
