Would love one, but the wife wouldn't have it....lol

I might have to tell her it's bowing in front and spill any day now.

Thanks for the offer though.

Worked for me!!!

I also think if you built up the substrate in back left corner behind the stones, a small leaf hydrocotle species would look good draped down over the rock

I was thinking of doing something with some leftover pool filter sand, kind of a raised bed, maybe I can work the 2 together?? I may borrow Ian's idea of a small stone wall

Edit- I think these corys are broken. They stay up in the plants and wood.. i like them, they have been mowing down algae on my driftwood like crazy. .

Anyone ever go through a whole day of work with the most prevalent thought in their head being... man I can't wait to get home and work on my tank... I just had one of those days.. i think there's something wrong with me..

I work on my tank every day mate! Whether its spot treating, pruning and propagation or just general cleaning.

Little and often is what i say :)

I actually love doing it as well though so guess it helps

I hear you.. your tank definitely shows all the love though.. I usually give mine one day a week aside from daily dosing.. wc's and trimmings. Cleaning and all that stuff.. It would be nice to have just this tank to really focus on but at this point I'm to into all my dwarfs that would never play well together in the same tank..

Subscribed.

I would plant star repens up front snd trim regularly to keep it short and bushy. Maybe get the carpeting effect going.

I would plant the helferi in groupings along driftwood and stones.

I would also consider some pogostemon erectus to form a grouping near the rotala. They compliment each other nicely in dense bushy groupings

Just my thoughts :)

What do you think?? I'm going to fill out the ar on the right with some clippings from the other tank..

When you plant the pogo erectus, you may want to separate the stems that are attached to a single main stem and plant them separately. One of the bunches I planted was floating in the tank. I noticed the main stem was brown and rotting though the individual stems look fine and had started growing roots. I know you have assassins so that's a good thing because on one of the stems that was floating I saw a gelatinous blob of most likely pond snail eggs. I removed it. Probably have them on the other stems. Oh well. Also, it may take a while for the pogo to transition from it emersed form. It's been a week and the tops of some of the stems are starting to produce some thinner leaves.
The Rotala will have green tips that will start changing back to pink / red. I'd plant it in the back with some room in front of it for the trimmings.

The same thing happened to the pogo OS sent me a while back.. i figured it wasn't getting enough light and it was a goner... i planted yours yesrerday.. not quite per your advice but close.. i can always move stuff around if you think it's going to be problematic.. I'm expecting this to be my most high maintanence tank yet so anything I can do now to ease the burden...

I agree with Fresh. Should separate the pogo stems.

I would also plant a bit closer. Some of the plant groupings look spaced. I appreciate its early days and you'll fill in as you trim.

Looking good though mate

Yah I'm going to separate the pogo later, i was also going to cut the tops of the staur repens and plant them in around the group...
