Hi all, Merry Christmas.
I have been running a new build 57g freshwater that was seeded with media and plants from my smaller tank. it has been up and running for 5 weeks now and all fish are now in and happy.
However already i have seen a quite large growth of hair algae.
What could be causing this, as my parameters are perfect - water wise.
And what fish could i buy that will eat this type of Algae?
The tank is an Aqua One 980 and the lights are on for 8 to 10 hours a day. it is not in direct sunlight.
Any help would be great.
