I've currently got:
1 angelfish
9 Australian rainbows
6 corys
2 Bolivians
2 Pim pictus
1 BN pleco.

90 gallon with 2 AC-110's

My question is would my angelfish and rainbows be okay with a school of 8-10 harlequins? Do they stay towards the top of the tank?

Hi i recently adopted 5 harlequins and they are mid level swimmers same as the black neons i have.. They are lovely little fish though :)
Hatchet fish will stay at the top..
No idea about them with an angel but would be nice to find out ..

Yeah that was my concern too, don't know if harlequins are more active or mello, and my rainbowfish are about 2" long, can get to 4", and dart around like crazy! I know Rasboras only get to be 2", so not much bigger than neons. But their not so slender so I'm not worried about my pictus or angel eating them like they do neons. I think I'll give it a try after I switch to sand in a few weeks.
