I bought too small a heater for my 10 gallon, 25 watts and so I bought a 100 watt heater, Aqueon pro. It seems to be holding the temp nicely. My question is about buying a unit for my 30 gallon tank. The temp difference between lowest room temp and desired tank temp is 15 degrees. I found a chart that says for a 30 gallon with a 15 degree temp differential, use a 300 watt heater. The heater I'm looking at, Eheim Jager Tru Temp, has their OWN chart which just gives a flat gallon/watts chart and doesn't take into consideration the ambient temperature. Anybody have any experience with this heater?

I have an 200w aqueon pro in my 55 gallon. I keep the temp at 78 and my house is 65. That heater has no problems keeping the tank that temperature.
