I was Vacuuming my tank last week and took most of my wood out. After I was done I put the wood back in, did not scrub it as it was still moist. A a out an hour later I noticed white circles on the knots and in the gaps. I initially thought they were pockets of air bubbles and would work themselves out. Last night the white substance was still there and it spread to the ends of the wood and looked cotton-like. I took the wood out to dry and replaced. Was this a fungus? After the wood dries out and the substance is gone can I use the wood again? Should I treat my water?

I would reboil the wood and reuse it u will be ok next time just move it to the side ur not cleaning hope that helped
