Green Terrors, Aequidens rivulatus, are typical substrate spawners meaning that they will usually look for some sort of hard, flat surface to lay their eggs on. Aquarium landscaping should include some flat rocks and/or caves. The substrate shouldn't be TOO fine because the fish will also excavate some depressions in the substrate to move the fry into after they hatch.
A beautifully planted tank is likely to suffer major devastation when substrate-spawning cichlids are 'in the mood' because they'll rearrange the aquarium decor to suit their tastes....which usually means they'll uproot any plant near their chosen spawning site that could possibly hide any predator. If you want greenery then I recommend plastic plants. To breed your Green Terrors (assuming you have a pair) you should condition them with feedings of live and/or frozen foods and keep their water very clean. They are usually excellent parents and will guard their eggs and fry ferociously, often to the detriment of any tankmates (including larger ones). Hope this helps!

I would think the green terrors would just do their own landscaping
