It is 3 gallons in size, which is good for a betta, but since it needs daylight for the plants to grow, I'd be concerned about algae growth. Think a Nerite snail would crash the cycle?

Also, it looks like it would be pretty easy to add a heater and it would probably even be beneficial for the plants.

What do you guys think?
 
I just ordered one, it's supposed to ship out this month.

does it have a spot to feed the fish? and a snail would be overstocked IMO...Its nearly impossible to cycle tanks under 5gs but I've seen it done before!

Yes, there are five plant pots and one feeding port.

And yeah, it can be hard to keep it stable, I've got a 2.5 gallon that I "think" is cycled now.
